Evaluation

The evaluation of the course encompasses the achievement of the competences identified as fundamental for the course and therefore the evaluation includes continuous assessment of set activities along with consideration of students' participation, critical thinking and attitude throughout the course.

 

Class attendance is mandatory: the student must attend a minimum of 80% of classes; percentages will be subtracted from late arrivals as well. Students must also demonstrate at least 80% participation of the virtual activities scheduled.

 

Cooperative learning for the students forms a significant core of the subject, therefore, weighted self-assessment and peer evaluation will be taken into consideration. 

 

Because the course evaluation is based on formative assessment, all continuous assessment activities (averages for each area) must be passed prior to the final evaluation. The percentages given here are for orientation and are negotiable at the beginning of the course in order to fit the profile of the class.
